We are recruiting for an Engagement and Insight Officer who will play a key role in the development and rollout of our engagement plan.

Healthwatch South Tyneside is your dedicated consumer champion, working with users of local NHS and social care services to hear about your experiences, identify any issues or problems and help generate improvements. We also assist commissioners and providers of healthcare services by conducting patient surveys, visiting healthcare venues and attending meetings with user groups and feeding back our findings in regular reports.

The Engagement and Insight Officer post is a part-time role (24 hours per week) – salary £24,500 per annum (pro rata).

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Engagement Officer to develop an Engagement Plan in support of Healthwatch South Tyneside’s Operations Plan.
  • Leading on the analysis and reporting of feedback gathered from engagement activities to provide insights about how health and social care services are operating in South Tyneside.
  • Producing statistical and qualitative information and reports from the feedback received from engagement activities.
  • Following up on report recommendations.
  • Working with the Engagement Officer to plan and deliver face to face and digital engagement activities and projects.
  • Developing a network of strong relationships with local people and community groups to support timely information sharing on matters of local significance.
  • Providing information and signposting services and representing the organisation at public events.
  • Networking with stakeholders including engagement, patient and service user experience professionals with the NHS, South Tyneside Council, Public Health and voluntary and community sector organisations.
