NHS service finder
NHS Service Finder was developed in collaboration with frontline clinicians and is being continually developed. It gives users access to accurate real-time information to help signpost patients to available services that best meet their needs.
How to use it
Simply type in your postcode and click on the dropdown arrow by ‘Select a service’. This reveals five types of service: hospitals; GP practices; dentists; pharmacies; care providers.
If you require a different service, use the scroll bar at the bottom to scroll to the right and click on the magnifying glass icon top right. This will reveal a link to ‘View all services on the NHS website’.
Click on this to access a full service search at nhs.uk which also includes opticians, sexual health services, pregnancy services and mental health services.
If you are having difficulty using the NHS Service Finder or in finding the service you need, please send us an email or call Healthwatch on (0191) 489 7952.
